The “Show” – Springdell Summer CSA Pickup #8

Hi everyone, Jess here.  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today I’ve been gearing up for another week of foodie fun!  It’s the biggest and most colorful share yet!

Things barely fit on my table for this photo.  There are so many goodies, it’s tough to know where to begin. Let’s take a closer look.

Remember to bring back those egg containers!

I decided to pick up the meat share tomorrow as I didn’t want to miss the beef run happening tomorrow!

Here are a couple of quick announcements from the ‘Dell:

If you’re interested in a 2018 Spring CSA, the deadline to sign up is August 15 which is fast approaching!  Enjoy starting your CSA early.  If you have a winter spring and summer CSA, you can enjoy year-round!

If you’re interested in being a part of the possible vendor fair in September, let Jamie know the next time you’re at the stand.

Back to the share box!  If you haven’t had fennel fronds before, the ‘re great in tea (just steep in hot water) or aromatics for seafood!  Try this one!  There are more ideas in Veggiescope, too, and more coming every day!

For those that tuned in last night, this peach galette cooled on my counter overnight aside a blueberry one.  I woke up and tasted them this morning, my other half calls them “outstanding”.  I’ll be posting the recipe very very soon! Let’s be in touch this week with all of the lovely items.  Until then, sweet and savory dreams!
