The “Show” – Springdell Summer CSA Final Pickup!

Hi everyone, Jess here with our final summer CSA pickup of the season! Look at this lovely loveliness!

I must say, while I was taking the photo, I was visited by Farmer Jamie’s dog, Radar. Remember him in this photo from July?

So cute munching on corn….  Well, growing up on Springdell produce has made him big and strong! Here is Radar today photobombing the CSA!It’s amazing how fast he got big, and how fast life moves in general…  Another CSA season is at it’s end. Here’s the list of it’s bounty. (I’m not breaking down the shares like I usually do, it’s kind of a grand finale list.)

Also optional items: There were some frost harvest poblanos, jalapeƱos, cabbages and squash bombs up for the taking as well.  It’s a great time to try jalapeƱo pepper jelly, (or come grab a jar at the canning swap!)  The cabbages are a perfect size for a side slaw!

While I was leaving the farm yesterday, I noticed a truck full of trees coming out of the back woods from the farm. Springdell sure is busy this season prepping more land for some more fabulous projects!

Remember the upcoming Springdell Halloween Bash on THIS SATURDAY! I’ll be there at 3pm prepped to swap some canned goods and generally celebrate our CSA adventure together!  Hope to see you there!

PS- don’t forget to order your holiday turkey!
