The “Show” – Springdell Summer CSA Pickup #8


Hi everyone, Jess here presenting the 8th pickup of the Springdell Summer CSA season. August is so colorful, isn’t it?

Hello, my lovelies!!!

Mega Shares included cheddar cauliflower, onions and tomatoes. Small shares received corn, sweetheart bells, merlot bells and hot peppers, golden zucchini, salad cukes, peaches, eggplant and butter beans. Single shares received corn, banana peppers, a salad cuke, golden zucchini, merlot bells, heirloom eggplant and classic peaches.

Here’s a charcuterie board at my friend’s house yesterday, with a little Baba Ghanoush made with the grilled Springdell heirloom eggplant.

I just wanted to mention a couple of fun events coming up at Springdell! On Saturday August 17th, there will be family night at the farm from 6-9. BYOB, dinner, picnic blanket, and family! Hang out at this lovely place, chat around the bonfire and get to know your Farm Fam. (I only wish I was in town for this one.) Story Time with Fellow Springdellian Mandy C. will be happening on the Thursday the 22nd at 10am, and feeding Hour will happen on Thursday August 29th from 4-5.

Remember that Jordan Brothers Seafood is at the farm stand on Wednesdays from 2-6pm!
