Ingredient: Egg Nog

» Jump to recipes using Egg Nog as an ingredient

Egg nog is a popular drink during the holiday season, and the supermarket cartons and jugs of it pale in comparison to the farm fresh nog made with love.

Egg nog can be enjoyed as is, sprinkled with a simple spice such as cinnamon or nutmeg, and grown-ups can enjoy with popular stir-ins such as bourbon or spiced rum.  Egg nog can also make an appearance drizzled on a vanilla ice cream, pound cake, or in coffee in place of cream.

If you’re not a fan of egg nog (and many people either love it or don’t), perhaps you don’t want to rule it out until you’ve tried it in a recipe, as it can change the flavor in a way you might enjoy.

When in season, nog it up!

Recipes Using Egg Nog

Farmer Jamie’s Nog Toast

Here’s another one from Farmer Jamie, great especially for those that aren’d big fans of nog in beverage form.  Thick cut white bread is Jamie’s pick for the best textured bread for this one. Try this one today, and let us know what you think!

Egg Nog Bread with Rum Glaze

This one was brought to our attention by Farmer Jamie, a great recipe for those that aren’t big fans of nog in beverage form.  I haven’t made it yet but I plan to, as soon as I can hold onto some egg nog long enough…  If you make it, please check in and let us know what you think! Please note you’ll need 1 package of Instant Vanilla pudding mix, not something that’s on our “Staples” list in the pantry.
