The “Show” – Springdell Spring CSA Pickup #5

Hello All!  Here we have our 5th pickup for the Springdell Spring CSA.

  • Spinach
  • Eggs
  • Asparagus

I’m thinking of keeping it simple tonight and doing some roasted asparagus with poached eggs and Parmesan cheese!

Jess picked up her meat share this weekend, and is very excited to be working with various cuts of pork.  We’ll be trying some ham hocks in the not too distant future as well, so stay tuned if you’d like to hear more! 

In other news, it’s orientation week for the summer CSA!  Learn the ropes on the pick your own herb garden, what to do when you pick up you right share, where to return your reusable items etc.  The following came out this week from farmer Jamie, in case you missed it:

“If you are a NEW Shareholder to the Dell, you are required to come to Orientation Week! We ask that you come on your scheduled pick up day for the Summer CSA. Fine details went out last week in an email that listed times of tour departures and your selected pick up day. But you know where to find us if you have any questions.

Past Shareholders, you do not need to come to “Orientation Week.” Unless of course you need a refresher course or you have a new co-shareholder with you this season.

No matter if you are new or seasoned…the CSA Discount Program kicks off this week when you shop with us! If you are a Summer CSA member, you get a discount when you shop at our Farm Stand. You discount is valid on produce, dairy goods and eggs on your day of pick up! You make mention at the register that you are a “Shareholder” and that “today is your pick up.”
