The Springdell Show and Tell- Winter CSA Pickup #7

Hi everyone, Jess here. I wanted to start off with a quick reminder that though it’s freezing cold, it’s time to start dreaming about the summer CSA! The deadline for signing up is coming at the end of March, so be sure to check in with Farmer Jamie and she’ll email you your application today! Don’t miss yo opportunity to join the summer party!

Shares come in all shapes and sizes, pickup days are flexible, and we’ll be here at CSA365 to help answer any veggie questions that we can along the way!
This maple glazed salmon with garlic soy bok choy was a hit in the Anderson Household this week!
This Springdell beef tenderloin was a great Valentine’s Day treat! Served with roasted taters and sweets, all with a little Herd Nerd SPICE to tie it all together… delicious!
My kids preferred the bratwurst to the tenderloin, with a side of baby spinach instead of the tender lettuces. One really can’t go wrong either way here!
I may have already posted this photo but my computer apparently wants you to see it again. Pressure cooked pork is so quick and easy on a weeknight! The cooker works wonders in bringing a tender meat to the table in minutes rather than hours. Enjoy!
The 7th Winter CSA pickup highlights two delicious products from Fox Country Smokehouse- the first is this addictive and flavorful mustard sauce. It’s great on pork, as a dip for French fries (stir in a little honey if you like it sweeter) or however tickles your fancy, really.
The second is the smoked cheddar. Now, I haven’t tried the cheddar yet, but their Gouda is spectacular! I can only imagine the cheddar to be right up there flavor-wise, and very much look forward to trying it!
The empty carton collection continues at the farmstand, keep them coming (be sure to clean them first, please) and thank you!

I’ll check in with more CSA specifics during next week’s pickup. Meanwhile, if you have a veggie in your CSA crate that is eluding you, Or you have any specific questions about anything I’ve posted here, please feel free to check in as always. I love to hear from you! Have a great week and see you back here soon!
