Cranberry Quince Relish
A delicious accompaniment to your cranberries, the quince is a fruit that can not be eaten raw. A cinnamon stick and star anise pod makes this rich relish a favorite of Sarah’s.

The fun shape makes it fun for the kids to eat, plus less oil is needed (plus you can put a filling in the middles if you want, like creme Fraiche). If an ebelskiver pan is not available, a frying pan is just fine, you can make latkes!
This dish screams winter to me, a slow gentle braise fills the house with comfort. Not only that but this dish is made a little bit special with the addition of caraway seeds, a flavor I associate with cold weather.
